| 834238 | 2009-11-28 02:31:00 | Hi, I have just spent yet more time with a friend who is trying -amongst other--to stop the above showing on the bottom program bar I first ran a series of trojan and adware checks- found nothing but suddenly that disappeared Next day it was back,I went round and it disappeared again-then the lady re booted,went on line and there it is again Can anybody enlighten me please? Secondly the same lady is having poor reception using Skype which is normally perfect ( one being a green 30 cm wide band that flickers off and on--and a suggestion it was related to a logitech camera setting was not the answer as her camera is another brand)---I can see a thin line showing in my Skype to her --- in a photo on her pooter room wall but certainly nothing like that she is experiencing I reset the pixel size and it went but the picture is no longer as good as it was effie c |

| 834239 | 2009-11-28 02:40:00 | Its probably running on startup somewhere. Do a scan with trojan remover / malwarebytes. Update both then do full scans. I would fix the main prob first, before trying to fix the cam prob. It looks like it has something to do with the camera. Are the drivers for it installed? | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
| 834240 | 2009-11-28 02:51:00 | Hi Speedy Yes the drivers are all installed and the whole shebang has been working perfectly up to date Yes I did all the scans-deep- and they found nothing--BUT the above disapppeared- bully for me---BUT then on a reboot it came back---- I went round again today and it disappeared for the hour I was there---- I got home, in comes a Skype call saying it was back The green band though has gone- albeit leaving the screen with a "shrivelled" font and quality of monitor picture effie c |

| 834244 | 2009-11-29 22:13:00 | Hi Speedy et al, Finally got hold of friend this morning- there is no separate camera program for Skype-yellow band now gone but everything is reduced in size down to about 5 pt font Did a systems restore back 10 days --got correct Icon/font size (ie normal) but green band back in Skype Reverted to the start of today-font squished and almost in shadow Got Skype clear of green band/stripe, and emboldened font on e mail to 14 pt and bold---but cannot get the "contacts/folders" to get to 14 pt and bolder readability ( still at 6 pt etc Any idea where I would find the font size setting for say a default size---XP Home. Something the lady has done perhaps- beats me effie c |
