Under the startup tab there will probably be quite a few entries in there. Untick the programs that you don't want to start up. | 835501 | 2009-12-01 20:26:00 | Download HijackThis, run it and post the log file here. Actually its my daughters laptop and lives quite a few kilometers away. But I have given her a copy of HijackThis - also a copy of the MS disk with this months PCWorld and told her what to do (including getting onto PCWorld F1). But will she do this? Well she is my daughter and I am her father and like most families there is always a reluctance to what one is told to do by the last generation. But she is a grandmother herself now so knows a bit more about life etc. Watch this space! Tom |
