| 835451 | 2009-12-01 00:10:00 | I'm after a 22"~24" monitor, and this one has good reviews and is a good price; www.playtech.co.nz It doesn't have an HDMI input, but that probably isn't a biggie, the alternative is; www.xpcomputers.co.nz 1920x1080_5ms_speakers_dvi_hdmi-4429 which has the HDMI input and can be used in portrait or landscape mode (I don't know how useful that is for everyday use?), and is fractionally bigger (23.6" vs 23"). It's about $40 dearer. This one had less reviews that I could find, but they were all positive. I'm a Samsung fan, and like their pixel warranty. Does anyone have experience with either of these, or would like to comment on which would be best value? |

| 835453 | 2009-12-01 04:44:00 | This also gets good reviews and has HDMI and is only $315 www.computerlounge.co.nz But as I'm going from a 19" 4:3, I think I need to go to a 23~24" to make the move worthwhile. |

| 835454 | 2009-12-01 07:01:00 | I recently bought a Viewsonic VX2433wm 24" (23.6 viewable) 1080p monitor with HDMI and am very happy with it. It got great reviews from PCWorld and it's one of the cheapest at $330. www.playtech.co.nz And having come from a 19" myself, I can say that it is a big difference :D |

I have that exact monitor. It's awesome, but things are a little small at 1920*1080. 23" ftw. |

Has had several good reviews. The Viewsonic VX2433wm seems like an option. Funnily it doesn't get great "expert" reviews, but user reviews are very positive. How do you find text on it, and does it seem bright enough and colours okay (the 3 main negatives I've read)? The price is certainly right. |

| 835459 | 2009-12-02 07:11:00 | Text for me is good, colour fine as is brightness. Good clarity too. Lots of ability to manipulate and adjust via a good set-up area.....but I'm not a graphics expert by any means. Tech support from Viewsonic gave a 24 hour reply to a question. I'm running windows 7. Any store near you have one on display for you to see? |
