If I were C with current law I would go first equal with A, knowing B will have to wait for A to pass. |

I have been driving for only 15 years now but have never had an accident . When I do come to an intersection and I know I am to give way but the other car is obviously in doubt I just wave them on . . . . . . I find I can still easily communicate from in my car . I think the give way to your right rule is . . . . . . easy to remember, easy to learn for new drivers . When our traffic lights go out, which happens quite frequently, its amazing to see how well people communicate and manage to get through the lights in heavy traffic without damage . . . . . sometimes though its a bit more about flicking your lights and waving than the laws though . I don't think it matters which laws you have there will always be those arrogant, in too much of a hurry, preoccupied, move out of my way, I know everything drivers, that couldn't wave a howdy let alone a driver though congestion . Changing the road laws will be tiresome and confusing for many . (in my opinion) :punk |

We had an intersection like this at our corner for a few years until finally we got a Give Way sign . There were a few accidents and a lot of close calls, plus really just a lot of confused drivers . If the Land Transport or what ever they care called now spent some money on adverts making these laws clear might help . The Wheel of death advert does nothing to help those that do not know right from wrong, it just suggests more care . A lot seem to have their own interpretation of what is right . Bigger vehicles clearly have right away in all situations according to the mindset of the drivers of them . Changing the road laws will be tiresome and confusing for many . (in my opinion) Not if Land Transport spend some money and promote the new laws as they should do or should have done with the current law . How hard can it be to make a few adverts to show people the correct method instead of these scare tactics adverts they put on . |

| 723390 | 2008-11-27 22:19:00 | ANY rule is confusing for overseas tourists. They should have to undergo a driving test before being allowed to drive on our roads....or at least don't let them drive those big campervan things!! The amount of bad tourist drivers I see in them...ridiculous | --Wolf-- (128) | ||

| 723392 | 2008-11-27 23:40:00 | A guy I used to know lost an eye in an accident where an American tourist crossed the road and drove right into him. Nearly killed him. Tourists should have to sit the learners written/scratchy test before they drive IMO. If we all have to, why shouldn't they? What pisses me off is when people try and be nice at intersections. If they just followed the rules instead of trying to be courteous then everyone would get where they want quicker and more safely. |

| 723394 | 2008-11-28 02:22:00 | I agree that they do need to advertise . . . . . . . but why should those people who aren't ignorant of the current laws have to learn new ones . Just advertise the ones we have now . Perhaps a refresher course to help people remember that these laws are important and are there to save lives . |
