2008-11-27 08:30:00 | A bit of a worry being a passenger with Zippity. Any primary roads as such would have a Give Way or a Stop on them, if it doesn't then the right hand rule would apply. Or if your drivers door might get hit then your wrong. Here is a screen shot from the original article. www.imagef1.net.nz oops I should have made it a bit smaller, but hopefully zippity can see it.

2008-11-27 09:50:00 | ^ I think the proposed rule should come back. The car in the middle of the road should not have to give way, because he is in the middle of the road. A lot of roads around CHCH where I live - if you are in the middle of the road (waiting for cars to turn right onto the road) then you're probably holding up the cars behind you (stupid narrow roads.) I think the rule should be changed as per the pic above.

2008-11-27 10:34:00 | No. The car at the tail of the T intersection is at the END of the road. Cars dont want to go straight ahead past them (unless they want to end up into a building/fence/whatever) Make sense now? I hope I dont have to draw a picture...

2008-11-27 10:38:00 | :) Hello happy motorists. The example where I said the motorist on the tail must give way actually applies where I live. Mind you, the tail has a clearly marked "Give Way" sign displayed. At an "uncontrolled" intersection, the following rule applies: www.landtransport.govt.nz Everybody happy now? Welcome to Wellington, where we actually give way to other motorists - namely to stay alive :D :D

2008-11-27 17:04:00 | There is nothing wrong with the current rule, the problem is with people and there poor driving. Changing the rules doesn't change peoples driving skills. | porkster (6331) | |
2008-11-27 18:06:00 | I thought it was stupid when they changed it.Back to the old "give way when you're turning right" rule I say. And pine-0-cleen.I've had that happen so many times.Stop to give way to a person on my right where they have no give way or stop and they think you're mad.And if I drive out turning right with some one on my left-well it's too hard on the nerves.

2008-11-27 20:16:00 | I came up to an intersection with a stop sign and stopped. Checked left right left nothing coming. Proceeded to cross intersection as a car was coming towards me with no indicator. Next thing without even stopping or slowing down it proceeded to turn right and cut right across my bow, missed him by a couple of feet. I could see the whites of his teeth as he grinned at me. He looked like a member of the mongrel mob or black power need I say any more. :)
