| 723174 | 2008-11-26 09:52:00 | Can one say that Mac monitors are better than all the rest the world has to offer(colour wise),seems strange to me. Mac don't manufacture the screens, they buy them and brand them, Just like any other company can and does do. They just do a lot of marketing, and people that buy into the marketing rather then put brain into gear. |

The question, after deciding which Mac will fit your budget is if you will be happy running whatever software is available for the Mac, Paying a premium for the hardware and then not liking the software would be a double raping. The entire issue of OS Vs OS is imo a waste of time, apart from the fact that Apple doesn't suffer from the virus on-slaught, Which is a pretty significant "feature". If I had thousands of dollars of spare cash, and was quite happy to blow money on an expensive under-performing and limited platform that represented poor value for money, I'd buy a Mac, But only for the novelty, and it would be a third or fourth machine at best. |

I can post a link to instructions here if you want. But, as far as I'm concerned, Windows will be adequate for your needs |

| 723181 | 2008-11-26 18:36:00 | Nomad wants a Mac mainly for photography. Macs are the default machine for the imaging industry - and there's a reason for that, which is mainly that the colour management is far superior to that of PCs. Once you get your colour management set up, what you see on the monitor is what you see in prints. | Deane F (8204) | ||
