835225 2009-12-01 00:49:00 I will download the program tonight and see what it is like. Should be a good one to replace the old AVG. convair (13650)

835229 2009-12-01 01:54:00 Just for another Norton bashing while we're on the topic of a good Anti-Virus...

A client said her laptop was incredibly slow for the last 6 months. When did she buy and install Norton? 6 months ago.

I played around with the PC. It took 3 to boot up, and froze at start up. After that it was still sluggish. I thought the first thing I'll do is remove Norton and install MSE.

Uninstalled, restarted. Installed MSE. Updated, restarted.

BAM! PC boots up under 30 secs. 1.9GHz/Vista H.E/512RAM

Yes I know Vista.. did some tweaks and made it smooth as you do. But not the best it could be like with Win7.

But seriously. It was like BAM! IN YOUR FACE NORTON.

She was sooo happy. xD

Bye Bye Symantec!
