2009-11-30 21:42:00 | Try using downthemall with firefox. I find that generally improves things, I don't use RS but it's worth a go. Last Monday Telecom somehow uncapped big time, I downloaded 1.5GB of top gear in half an hour, averaged 730kbps or something silly. Very, very nice. Shame it only took them about a day to cap it again. :( | wratterus (105) | |
2009-11-30 22:04:00 | Yeah.. I don't understand it. It's all over the place. For example I bought and downloaded Modern Warfare 2 from Steam a week ago. It was downloading at 1.5mbps!!! - It only took around 3/4 hours.. A few days ago I bought and downloaded Batman Arkham Asylum and it was going at 40kb for the whole time, it took 3 days. I''ve now bought and downloaded Dragon Age: Origins and it's downloading at 200kb solid. Seriously? What's with that? I download something from Major Geek and it takes an hour and a half for a 24mb program. Rofl! Something is screwy.. however. Nothing you can really do about it.

I tried to download something from major geek and it took almost 2 hours (was about 30MB). When it was finished I started a torrent and it was wizzing away at 220KB/s! They really suck at managin traffic lol. |

2009-11-30 23:13:00 | I used tried this (www.google.com) and got 5x faster than usual speeds. (Getting upwards of 900KB/s now) Edit: Just tried the same file without the website and not even getting 100KB/s.

2009-12-01 01:06:00 | Well since they get you to enter your Rapidshare account details into your download manager I assume it only works for Premium... | Agent_24 (57) | |
2009-12-01 01:35:00 | Ok, now that I actually scrolled down and read the page properly... Well, it works, but it doesn't seem to go any faster... Maybe I will try later...
