I am in the US, NJ.

Okay, I am on a different PC, is there anything that I can do myself to correct it? I am just really aggravated that I can see the files, but can not retrieve them.

834713 2009-11-29 23:52:00 Ok, have you connected that other hard drive to this PC?? if its IDE, remember to jumper it properly Speedy Gonzales (78)

I am going to be honest and tell you that I have no idea what "jumper" means. I just turned off that CPU and now on my son's laptop.

834715 2009-11-30 00:02:00 That maybe a bit hard unless you've got some kind of external case to put the other hard drive in. Thats the only way you're going to connect it to a laptop Speedy Gonzales (78)
834716 2009-11-30 00:05:00 Thanks anyway.... looks as if I am going to have to take it somewhere. Have a great day! Dreamcicle (15468)
834717 2009-11-30 01:06:00 if the program you ran showed the files, then the chance is high you can get them recovered by someone :) Agent_24 (57)
834718 2009-11-30 01:25:00 I did the same thing. And used one of the file recovery programs on UBCD4Win. Worked good. nedkelly (9059)
