| 724507 | 2008-12-01 01:36:00 | I need a new IDE DVD burner for a friend's PC, and was looking at this (www.trademe.co.nz) Are Asus burners good in your experience? Also, the description refers to it being 'dual panel' - what does that mean? Cheers all |

| 724508 | 2008-12-01 01:55:00 | Thats good but you should be able to get cheaper. Asus/Pioneer are the ones to go with. LiteOn is alright too. Dual panel probably refers to it having two faceplates - one white (ivory) and one black (I assume). :p You could save a few $$ by not getting a lightscribe one, chances are said customer won't use it. |

| 724509 | 2008-12-01 01:58:00 | Lightscribe - isn't that just a gimmick? You need to buy the special Lightscribe discs to burn the labels onto. I prefer the printable labels myself. Dual panel - Black and/or Ivory face plates - I think :( Anyway, I prefer the Liteon brand :) |
