| 836801 | 2009-12-05 23:20:00 | hey guys i am thinking of buying an alienware laptop and want to know what would be better for games. Between the m17x with 2.8Ghz core 2 duo, 4Gb DDR3 ram, and 2x nvidea 260m graphics cards and 2x500gb Hdd in raid 0 or the M15x with i7 1.6-2.8Ghz 720qm processor, 6Gb DDR3, 500Gb HDD and 1 260m nvidea graphics card please don't offer me anyother laptops ideas i just want to see what would be better between these two Thanks |

| 836802 | 2009-12-05 23:39:00 | the M17X would be better I think, it's got 2 video cards for a start... having said that, the M15x has an i7 which is newer than a Core 2 (but might be slower anyway) You can upgrade the RAM in both I expect too |

| 836805 | 2009-12-06 00:10:00 | RAM can be upgraded, as for the CPU I wouldn't know. Check the CPU charts on Tomshardware? As for SLI, depends on what you're doing. Not all games support it anyway, and the performance increase may not be enough to bother with. |
