836159 2009-12-03 09:16:00 Run Avast boot scan and found a hundred infections in some windows XP files and some program files like Spybot and Media monkey.
The problem being called win32: Delp-MZG

I have for time being put the in the virus chest as Avast calls it.

But I am unsure whether these finds are false or other wise.

Unsure what to think or do now.Can do with some help with this as it is my first time with Avast.

Thanks John.

836160 2009-12-03 09:37:00 Avast is having major problems lately, heaps of false positives - Run updates -- Have a look at their forum listed here (forum.avast.com).

I and no dobt many others have also found avast is not as good as it used to be -- Microsofts new MSE, far out performs it - and its free. -- Have a look through the forum posts here, several threads on the subject.
