836035 2009-12-03 00:37:00 Is there a simple windows app that will allow me to do this?
I have an XPsp2 iso & have extracted the sp3 files with WinRar.
When opening the xpsp2 iso with UltraIso, can I just drag-n-drop the sp3 files into the SVCPACK folder? or am I miles off the mark.
Played with BBIE & HFSLIP but......

836037 2009-12-03 00:41:00 Nlite (http://www.nliteos.com/). Make sure youre using the same OS youre slipstreaming, when you use Nlite. Otherwise there maybe probs (dont try and slipstream XP files in Vista, or vice-versa). You can also slipstream patches / updates with this Speedy Gonzales (78)

836041 2009-12-03 03:33:00 Is it much of a deal to include IE8 & the hot fixes?
Can other programs be included, say...Firefox etc?

836042 2009-12-03 04:15:00 You can add a lot of other automated installs for other programs with Nlite

Have a look at the documentation - there are plenty of third party tutorials around.

You can also strip 'junk' out of the install it builds - Some people have managed to get a working XP that will run on something like 32mb or RAM and take about 200mb of hard disk - though you probably wouldnt want to get that carried away - might find quite a few bits dont actually work - but its a terrific tool.

836043 2009-12-03 04:16:00 You can add IE 8 / updates. But adding programs like firefox are a bit trickier to add. Since it'll be installing on a clean install. You have to find a cab file. There's one here but its for an earlier version (blogs.zdnet.com)

Have a look around here (www.msfn.org). You may have to register, if you want to download anything tho. This is where I found the .net framework files, so I could slipstream them. Since its not easy to slipstream these as is. You have to remove quite a few files from it. Since all of them would take up a cd. You can also add WMP 11 and its updates with this (www.boooggy.org)
