835897 2009-12-03 00:01:00 Software suite installs like what? Speedy Gonzales (78)
835898 2009-12-03 00:01:00 One of the best sites for Packaging is

www.appdeploy.com

Mass deploying an app can be as easy as a few command line switches with a vendor released MSI, or completely repackaging using a packager like "Wise Package Studio".

835900 2009-12-03 00:38:00 Or go here (http://ninite.com/) select what you want. It'll download the lot in one install. If its not there, give them a link Speedy Gonzales (78)
835901 2009-12-03 00:46:00 yeah Im just looking at that right now...Looks very close to what Im looking for but there are a bunch of apps which I load on a regular basis for work, would like something with a little wider scope 12steps (14778)
835902 2009-12-03 01:29:00 You could always run a batch script to do what you want.

Put the apps on a cd and run the file installs in sequence.

835903 2009-12-03 01:49:00 But how do you get round all the mouse clicks and I agrees etc, not to mention unclicking the crapware that is increasingly being foisted upon us? linw (53)

Answer files, custom VB scripts(with registry entries etc) and it all else fails "Autoit".

A lot of mainstream software have pretty good MSI's where a few switches will do the trick, its the crappy business old legacy apps that cause most of the headaches.
