They're workhouses, no discrete graphics card, and a reasonably grunt dual core. Asus is a netbook, so I use it for web browsing, emails, some VNC etc The HP is dads, and its just a celeron dual core...budget machine, but after loading it with 4gb of RAM and Windows 7, runs like a dream:D Toshiba is definitely reliable, I'm a student and its been susceptible to quite a few knocks and bumps but the excellent built quality has withstanded them:D Blam |

| 836884 | 2009-12-17 04:23:00 | We have 3 Toshiba's in our house, all running WinXP Pro, of those 3, one of them travels between NZ, Australia and Asia every fortnight and has done so for the last couple of years and has never missed a beat considering how many times it is packed and unpacked, has even been knocked off a table in the Qantas Lounge and still worked. All our work laptops are various models of Toshiba as well, no special deals with Toshiba, that is just what we use, all running XP, we never *upgraded* to Vista, and no problems encountered. |

On the other side of the same coin, being the most complained about doesn't mean it is the worst :p It will probably also mean that a sizable portion of potential respondents to this poll aren't represented. |
