836975 2009-12-08 23:48:00 Green is traditionally output to speakers
Blue is line-in
Pink is Mic-in

That said, many can be reprogrammed from software on your PC so you can do 5.1 channel speakers by repurposing both the inputs as outputs.

836976 2009-12-08 23:49:00 It'll be for the mic input on the front of the case (if the case has one). The rear pink in, on the right, is for the mic input on the back of the case. Depending on your system, you can use one or the other. Some systems (if you plug the mic in from the front, it'll cut the mic input on the back) Speedy Gonzales (78)
836977 2009-12-09 06:43:00 Yes. Thats it. Front panel jack is what the L/H control is for. The whole thing started when I upgraded to the latest Skype. It had previously worked for years no problem but the upgrade has a quirk where, no matter where you have the Mic I/P set (mine was at rear Pink), the front panel Mic on my HP PC was selected as soon as you give the PTT. Hence no Tx audio. I use the inputs for dual purposes, the other one being to carry digital
tones to my transceiver and receive from same. I have a programme called Quick Mix which can set up numerous combinations of I/P and O/P and a one icon click can set up as you require for each purpose so I can now use that depending on where I want the audio to come and go. Incidentally my PC sits on the floor hence I don't normally see the front panel. Thanks for the help gentlemen. Boswell
