724690 2008-12-01 18:30:00 I would not run anything made by Norton on my PC if you paid me. jwil1 (65)
724691 2008-12-01 18:43:00 Hey, I used to think the exact same thing until I gave it a shot when I saw it on special.

I know how to use a computer, and I used to run AVG along with Ad-aware and Second Copy Backup. This combo still let the odd virus through, at least once a week, and it would only be revealed when I bothered to scan.

Had Norton 360 since october, and nothing. no viruses, no nothing. Windows is far more responsive, and best of all, I don't have three seperate programs running at once. It's an A+ Product.

Besides, if you're only going to bash it, why don't you just not talk at all?

724692 2008-12-01 19:15:00 I'd run it.

On a test PC where I can quickly format the hard drive. :p

It's a forum, buddy. Welcome to the internet.

And Nortons is the work of the devil and should be stamped out.

724696 2008-12-02 05:45:00 I would not want anything Norton unless it was on two wheels (even then I would think about it)

Its a shame because way back in the 80's the Peter Norton Utilities were a DOS head's (me) lifeline !

724697 2008-12-02 05:51:00 Its a nice offer that I'm sure someone will take up - but personally I have removed so may N 360's from customers PC's that are riddled with viruses and spyware its not funny, yet N360 says the PC is clean - the product is not that good.

Not being sarcastic but the comment
Had Norton 360 since October, and nothing. no viruses, no nothing May be true, but how would anyone know if the software doesn't detect the infections. Classic Example (www.imagef1.net.nz) & The desktop (www.imagef1.net.nz) - obvious infections without even having to look.
