724182 2008-11-29 16:44:00 South Africa (Referee whistles) 97 - All Blacks 32 :D

That, along with an inept Television Producer who insists on changing/moving the camera angle as often as the ball is moved.

When will the Producer realise that continuity allows the viewer to follow the ball?

As well as being an eye sore, continual in and out shots are a complete waste of time.

TVNZ could learn so much from its overseas counterparts.

Would it have been our TV team? Probably the feed was just from SkyTV in UK. It is Sky that do it - not TVNZ. Rugby games broadcast here in NZ by Sky are top notch.

If you watched the game, you will notice instead of a game of rugby, the ref had more time on the camera then the players. He blew his whistle so much Im sure he must have had to have a spare incase the first one blew up.
The game didnt flow at all, his sin binning was overkill, England were crap, but geez, he certainly killed anybody momentum.

Rugby games broadcast here are some of the worst with their poor camera work :(

Next time you watch a locally played game, try paying closer attention to the continuity (or rather the lack of it) as the ball gets moved along the line...........

Viewing 6 phases of play from 47 different angles is not my idea of good television coverage.

Our local TV producers should be sent back to movie school :D :D

724187 2008-12-01 00:17:00 Local rugby is mainly filmed by students so you'll definitely notice the drop in quality. rob_on_guitar (4196)
724188 2008-12-01 00:24:00 I meant local as in New Zealand Tests :) Zippity (58)
724189 2008-12-01 01:24:00 Oh. The thing I hate about the camera guys is when the game is being played and they focus on some ex player or has-been star of some sort, that bugs me alot, like as if anybody cares, we came to see a game not how somebody has aged. rob_on_guitar (4196)
