| 838078 | 2009-12-09 09:35:00 | I have an Asus N50Vc FP019G, with which I am very happy. However I would like to install a larger HDD than the standard 320GB one. Can anyone tell me whether this model has any constraints on HDD capacity? (I understand that some motherboards fail to recognise drives over a certain size, but I'm not sure whether Asus have built this into the motherboard on this machine) I have posted this on the Asustek Forum also, but suspect that there are far more intelligent and knowledgeable people here... :D Looking at this (www.ascent.co.nz) one |

| 838081 | 2009-12-09 09:40:00 | Cheers guys - thought I would swap the current drive out and install Win7 on the new one - have a play and see if I like it. Then I can either go back to the original HDD (running Vista) or convert it to external storage.... | johcar (6283) | ||

| 838083 | 2009-12-09 10:08:00 | There are NAS units that take multiple 2.5's - we just bought an 8-drive version of this (www.qnap.com) for work. Not cheap, though, plus is SATA only - I'd guess that your collection would be PATA... |
