| 837593 | 2009-12-08 04:12:00 | My friend can not get to the logon page of her two banks. The last sucessful attempt was on Friday morning ( 4th Dec). Since then she can get to the home page of her banks but gets an error - " can't connect to page" when she attempts to go to the logon page. She is running Xp Sp3 and IE8.0.6001.18702 I have deleted the browsing history, I have checked that SSL 3.0 and TLS1.0 is enabled Can someone offer any help please |

In the Open box, type the following commands one at a time, and then click OK (OR copy and paste the following commands) regsvr32 softpub . dll regsvr32 wintrust . dll regsvr32 initpki . dll regsvr32 dssenh . dll regsvr32 rsaenh . dll regsvr32 gpkcsp . dll regsvr32 sccbase . dll regsvr32 slbcsp . dll regsvr32 cryptdlg . dll Click OK when you receive the message that says DllRegisterServer in FileName succeeded . Reboot - see if you can now access the sites . OR you can download Winsockfix ( . softpedia . com/get/Tweak/Network-Tweak/WinSockFix . shtml" target="_blank">www . softpedia . com) and run it, ticking all boxes . You will get error messages RE IE 8 so it may or may not work fully, but the above commands should . |
