725726 2008-12-04 22:57:00 Steinlager can't be called beer... It's just the green death.

Actually in Germany it legally couldn't be called beer. Which I quite like.

725727 2008-12-05 01:15:00 I love lamb from NZ, BBQ'd after a garlic rub-down and olive oil bath, medium fire for just enough time to take the pink away .

Served with asparagus off the grill and a Swiss cheese sauce all over them .

Oh! The beer has to be a Mexican (German) beer like Dos Eques or Negro Modello .

I like the fatty parts a lot as I feel that's where the true flavor is anyway, and as long as my bad cholesterol is so low, I like to have grease and fat dripping off my elbows too . Once the cholesterol numbers rise, then I stop the fat stuff .

Did that once. Threw up pretty quickly. And on my hosts floor too.

I can hold my spirits well, but beer shots are beyond me.

Beer is life. Yep the Germans have rules if it aint got hops and brewed the old way it aint a beer fair enough to
I really feel sorry for non drinkers and alkies though. I just couldnt imagine being able to turn down an offered beer on a hot day or even a cold day rather be dead I think.
Only on this planet for a heartbeat might as well enjoy beer.

725733 2008-12-06 10:21:00 This six-bedroom three-bath home is in Closeburn Station, a 3,000-acre working alpine farm with 27 private homes. (Large farms are called "stations" in New Zealand.)

The 2,250-square-foot contemporary house has a master suite with views of Cecil Peak. The suite is located on a mezzanine level above an open living/dining area.

The home’s family wing has two bedrooms, a shared bath and views of Lake Dispute and the Remarkables, a mountain range popular for alpine and adventure sport.

There is another bedroom off the main living area, as well as a guest wing with two bedrooms, a bathroom and an additional kitchen and dining area.

Tell me this ain't true.....

OK. Firstly, I'd call it a large farm, stations tend to be 5000 acres and larger, but that's semantics. A lot of Closeburn is mountain so we aren't talking wide grassy plains.

Secondly this is an unusual real estate development - the 27 homes do not belong to Closeburn, they are privately owned, but share the station's access to two small lakes and the mountain.

Kinda an idyllic mix which I noticed when it was first advertised 4 years ago. You get your own home situated on a working high-country farm, 10 minutes from Queenstown.....hard to imagine anything better. Its a nice area which I walk through with my children occasionally.

One day when the Lottery comes through......:spam

Just found this images.google.co.nz 203.jpg&imgrefurl=http://wudhi.com/mrwalker/moke/index.htm&usg=__p2vm8CSje6JBv_9Sm15dDEx8oWk=&h=340&w=450&sz=22&hl=en&start=2&tbnid=UnmYlu4lantPsM:&tbnh=96&tbnw=127&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dmoke%2Blake%26gbv%3D2%26hl%3Den%26sa% 3DG on Google - Moke Lake is part of the station.

I had crushed hops on the top of the beer shots I had, extremely potent.

Jagermeister shots are far nicer than beer shots. Can drink those till the cows come home.

I was in Chch for the Disturbed concert a few months ago, and someone bought me a few shots called the three wise men go hunting or something like that, I can't rightly remember.

Jack, Jim and Johnny with some bourbon. Quite possibly the most epic thing I've ever tasted. :banana
