Countries like Russia, Jugoslavia, Bulgaria, Poland, Albania, Rumania Czech and Slovak republics and a whole bunch more countries tried your commie thing and rejected it. Even your hallowed commie gvernments of China, Vietnam, Cuba and North Korea are having economic problems just like those hated by you market economies. I hope the SIS is keeping a watch on you commies. |

| 725608 | 2008-12-06 07:20:00 | The commies come out of the woodwork dont they when they detect their hated capitalist system has a hiccup. So which is it Capitalist or communist it can't be both they are totally opposing views. I wish those who do name calling would get their facts right first, if they don't know the difference they should shut up. |

Like 100 years ago new auto car companies will spring up with products that people want rather than what some over paid exc wants them to have.. It's call evolution.. Yes and this is how capitalism works. It is Darwinism in economics. Survival of the fittest, and adaptation. Its a very hard lesson. When a business become too cumbersome, inefficient, and out of touch with the market, it fails. That allows new businesses to buy plant at auction prices, thus recycling equipment and skills into other more efficient enterprises. Here in NZ our government has done exactly the same, bailing out Air New Zealand and very recently NZ Rail. I think they should have both been allowed to fail and then the government could have bought both at firesale prices and started again. Or not bought them at all. The Big Three auto makers are sacred cows in the USA. They are bound into the psyche of the average American, a sort of everyday proof that America rules the road. Of course not every yank thinks that and there will be plenty driving Toyotas who object to any bailout. |
