726805 2008-12-08 23:43:00 Cheers, I have a nice list now.
It's a manual - hence having to ride the clutch to stop the problem..........

726806 2008-12-09 01:53:00 I still need to get you some pics of the new Levin actually, must get onto that. I think I want to supercharge it. Got the Blacktop, the best one available. Makes the same power factory as a supercharged 16v 4age, but way less torque. Should be able to get 190hp and twice the standard torque from whacking a supercharger on it.:drool

ah nice :D - you have a PM

Give the Mazda a warning that if it misses again again the car will be given a jolly good thrashing.

726809 2008-12-09 02:37:00 I have. Maybe that's the issue.................
Swearing at it, kicking the tyres and bringing on the tears doesn't help either.

726812 2008-12-09 06:20:00 Excessive spark plug gap, or a lean mixture can cause similar symptoms to the ones you describe (If bunny-hopping means mis-firing). Replace or re-gap the plugs as a first choice. Dirt on the spark plug body or the distributor cap can do a similar thing. If your car has been in Rotorua a fair bit, the high tension leads (If old style copper cored) may have a green powder center which does not work as well as the copper did before it was transmuted. New leads are the cure.
And always remember, there is no problem with any car that money won't fix.
