837489 2009-12-07 23:14:00 Bittorrent on dialup? I'm surprised that actually works for you.

When I tried it, my modem just gave up.

If I needed to download something large over dialup, I use a download manager. The modem only has to worry about 1 connection to 1 server, you don't have to upload anything, and download managers all have resume functions if the connection drops.

837490 2009-12-07 23:15:00 hey paul another way to do that with out torrents is a download manager like orbit. As long as the download allows resuming.

Edit: Just got in before me Agent. But not all downloads can be resumed. Depends on the download as well as the download manager.
