| 727247 | 2008-12-10 00:57:00 | Holy moly! Just downloaded some drivers from Nvidia's site, 82.2MB, and they came down in 1min 35sec with a transfer rate of 892KB/s! Never had that speed before. 500KB/s is about as fast as we usually get here. |

If you are referring to us.download.nvidia.com, then it is definitely a location in New Zealand as the tracert that I have just performed did not leave this country. Cheers :) |

Im about 200 meters from the local exchange, only once have I ever got it higher than 800 for more than a second or two, and that was multi-threaded downloads from JetStream Games Realm or whatever it was called back in the day ... | Chilling_Silence (9) | ||

That's what I thought - with Orcon on standard ADSL FS up and down, in Motueka. Pretty close to the exchange I think. The adsl router (odlish dynalink) reports (from memory) 8128kbps down and 700 something up. :D Don't know how that works, but internet sure is quick. On speedtest.net on a good day can achieve close to that to Auckland. @ Blam - :drool I actually just watched the final of Prison Break S04 tonight, leaves you completely up in the air, there better be a 5th season! ;) |
