2008-12-14 04:32:00 | Hope it's ok to ask about mobile a phone here... International texts can be delayed by up to 16hours. Is this more likely to be my phone or the service? I've 're booted' my phone and will get a flood of them, or they just arrive randomly. I don't want to buy a new phone if it's not the problem. Cheers

2008-12-14 07:15:00 | Perhaps you can first remove the SIM card from your existing phone and slot it into another mobile device, then try to send a text message from there to an overseas phone and see if there's a difference? | Renmoo (66) | |
2008-12-14 09:21:00 | Is this a one-off problem or more long-term because if its a one-off, it could just be Vodafone's servers having issues, not your phone. | beeswax34 (63) | |
2008-12-14 10:23:00 | Which country are you texting to? I just texted to my father in Hong Kong and a friend in Japan. They received it instantly

2008-12-14 10:40:00 | Forget overseas, my friends in the same city at different times texted me on a few occasions, and their texts were delayed. Time ranged between 24 minutes to 11 hours. | qazwsxokmijn (102) | |
2008-12-14 14:24:00 | Forget overseas, my friends in the same city at different times texted me on a few occasions, and their texts were delayed. Time ranged between 24 minutes to 11 hours. That's either congestion on the network or more likely the carrier's servers being overwhelmed or down (happens a few times a year)

2008-12-14 19:01:00 | Sometimes I receive texts that have been sent hours (10) before and I have already received later texts from the same person (ie out of sequence). Used to happen much more often than it does now. Telecom. | zqwerty (97) | |

Time ranged between 24 minutes to 11 hours.I've had the same issue on a number of occasions - sent a message this time last month at around 6:30 on a Monday night and the person didn't receive it until about 11:30 (hardly times I would have though congestion would be occurring). | maccrazy (6741) | ||
