838702 2009-12-11 02:22:00 I guess they don't work over the weekend because it's not expected to be fixed until "during the week commencing 14 December". bellbird (6169)

838704 2009-12-11 02:43:00 The Telecom usage meter is a steaming pile of crap.

If you wanna know, get tautology.

838705 2009-12-11 03:34:00 Apparently someone cocked up when they decided to allow free upload for a while. What ever they did meant that some people had wrong download figures allocated to them. That's what is being sorted now.

Unless Telecom accept that there is a problem with their meter (which they have done now) it doesn't matter what you measure locally.

838706 2009-12-11 06:20:00 I saw this on Geekzone, so it does look like there was something up with excess usage for Retail.

Hi all, first of all, apologies that we haven't been able to confirm this sooner. We have identified that there is an error in the way we are currently recording usage. The technical team are working through the details of the root cause around the clock. Apologies I don't immediately have more information. We will of course put this right for any impacted customers, will update you on this tomorrow.

838709 2009-12-12 23:00:00 I had this happen twice. The first time they reset it. The 2nd time they said i had used 12Gb in one day! I have a 10Gb/month plan. I explained that that day i was not even at home - out of town. They told me that I had once used 6Gb in one day (8 months ago) so i must have used 12Gb on this day. This was true as I once had a 20Gb plan and downloaded a game then went back to the 10Gb plan. My normal usage shows 2Gb to 8Gb a month over 18 months. After much argument they reset my plan but told me they would not do it again if the same thing happened!

Next was an outage. I rang and they told me it was scheduled and to 'get over it'. I asked why weren't customers informed prior? I couldn't see down the phone but I think the customer rep shrugged his shoulders then cut me off! lol, good one telecom!
