| 838593 | 2009-12-10 22:54:00 | The website http://repairfaq.org/ talks about a newsgroup "sci.electronics.repair" I would like to have a look but I have no idea how to access it. I see that Windows Live Mail has a newsgroup option but it just tells me that the group is not available on the Microsoft news server (this doesn't surprise me, as far as I know this group is nothing to do with Microsoft!) Can anyone help me with this? |

If you're with Xnet, you go to tools/accounts (in windows mail - maybe the same for live mail, I dont know, I dont use it). Give it a name / put in a fake email, they wont know. And under server, you type in news.xnet.co.nz. Then OK. Then download the newsgroups. Then type in sci.electronics.repair. Thats it | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

| 838599 | 2009-12-10 23:56:00 | Looks like you may have to use google groups. It looks like telecom killed their newsgroups in 2006. Because they said it was classed as P2P.. hmmm.. And you would have to pay for it if you used their news server | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
