728196 2008-12-12 10:04:00 So what circumstances would cause you to kill a person?
Not that I expect a real answer from you.

If it ever happens I'll let you know.

I don't have a list of circumstances where I would kill someone.

Though if I did, spray painting my fence wouldn't be on it.

As mentioned I have the idea that the jury had no alternative given the evidence.

From the evidence presented, it seems to me there are two victims involved here.

I agree that the jury had very little choice but to arrive at the result they presented.

728199 2008-12-12 10:12:00 Emery. He's a man pushed to take the law into his own hands because frankly the law cannot protect him, his property, or the general public. He was an infuriated man, maybe at the height of the moment something in him snapped, also caused by Pihema's and his friend's spraying of paint in his face, that caused him to blindly thrust the knife into the criminal's heart.

If Pihema's mother's words on Campbell Live were true, then I feel sympathy for her. But certainly not for her boy. That scumbag had no respect for people's properties at 15, imagine who or what else he would regard with no respect later in his life if he was given the chance. I say good riddance.

There are far more than two victims. There are the families who get sucked into the Justice System which include the person manslaughtered and the families of all people involved in this case. This to me includes the family of the Tagger and also the family of the person found guilty of manslaughter. It can't be easy for either party.

No, of course not. They all have the deceased to blame.

728202 2008-12-12 10:58:00 Any taggers messing with my front fence better watch out, had to repaint part of it 3 times now to get rid of their ridiculous scribbles. zqwerty (97)
728203 2008-12-12 17:31:00 I am sure we have all done things we were not proud of when young. I remember entering a property with not good intentions but some subconscious moral grounding had me leave the property without being noticed or causing any damage.

If someone came out and confronted me then I was already in flight mode but I would have hoped he wouldnt have shot or stabbed me.

Today I am married with children and work in the community providing a very unique service.

It is not automatic that a tagger becomes a life long criminal just as this man has been an upstanding citizen and in this moment of recklessness kills a boy. I am sure he wishes he could have had that time over again. For those that think his actions were justified just amazes me. His only recourse really was to yell at them to p!ss off and call the police. The offenders probably would have got away but then he wouldnt have this country's eyes on him now as he wonders whether he will spend xmas '08 in jail.

728204 2008-12-12 18:06:00 If I was on the jury I would have voted for not guilty and given him a $10,000 reward.

It is a shame the tagger died, but he should not have been out at night getting up to no good.

It is also the fault of all the sickly white liberals and judges that have let taggers get away with it over the years. If they had given jail sentences to every tagger caught, and made them do them to the full term, then we would not have no where near as much tagging, so that people like Emery would not have got so pissed off !

Please lets not have the Metla vs. Everyone else fight, we all know the result

Metla always wins
