| 838901 | 2009-12-16 04:12:00 | Just got a letter from telecom stating I now have adsl 2+, check router, still normal, rebooted, normal, so flashed firmware and wahey.. However, this site is still slow...lol disappointed with upload, I'm supposed to have max up under adsl which was about 700kpbs before upgrade...will have to call I guess... |

| 838906 | 2009-12-16 17:20:00 | SolMiester, your connection looks great from what I can tell: Attenuation Rates: 20dB and below = Outstanding 20dB-30dB = Excellent 30dB-40dB = Very Good 40dB-50dB = Good 50dB-60dB = Poor and may experience connectivity issues 60dB+ = Bad and will experience connectivity issues For S/N Margin Readings: 6dB or below = Bad and will experience no line sync or intermittent sync / connectivity problems 7dB-10dB = Fair but does not leave much room for variances in conditions 11dB-20dB = Good with little or no sync problems 20dB-28dB = Excellent 29dB or above = Outstanding I wonder if you're experiencing similar issues to here: www.geekzone.co.nz I tell you what, lemme go do some hunting, I'll see what I can find out... |

| 838908 | 2009-12-16 21:23:00 | ADSL2 is craptastic, at just over 2K from the exchange I only get around 8MB (as in REAL performance not Speedtest). This is a rough guide to show ADSL2+ performance over distance. In NZ its usually worse and DSL2 really starts dropping off big time after 2KM. images.freeola.co.uk I miss my TC cable sniff. |

Hi chilli, I have 2 more tests to do, will asl about profiles etc thanks.....the white cabinet is right outside our neighbours house!!! We have the line spilt anyway so dont have to worry about sky or alarm, not that we have an alarm or the mysky plugged into the phone line... Interesting about the upload speeds though eh?....the telecom stats had the upload at over 1.5mb?.... |
