| 838439 | 2009-12-10 21:58:00 | He is a post- hippy off the grid in a caravan. He wants to get a netbook as they are small and robust for backpacking out to the friendly local library with its wifi. What are his choices getting online back in the caravan ? :) Having had one round the other week the only real choices are internet broadband. Or using wireless hotspots. Neither are cheap. As for a netbook, my hippy had a full spec laptop with TV Tuner etc. Because one appliance off her 12v becomes, internet, stereo and TV all in one. He might want to consider that. |

| 838440 | 2009-12-11 03:09:00 | I live in a caravan in Newtown and use Vodafone 3g broadband 3 gig per month for $80 and $10 gets my cap again if I go over. Its slower than you would expect but at least it works. | Roger Hunt (13648) | ||
