| 838357 | 2009-12-10 18:42:00 | they told me the "Jack that hooks the charger to the PC is broken, it will take 2-3 weeks to get a new jack...." so I said whatever, fine, can I come pick it up? We are waiting for the part to come in, when they call us and tell us the Motherboard has failed. Anyways, they said they suspect the motherboard failed because food particles got into it, causing it to fry. They are going to send it into the manufacturer and see if they will cover it with the warranty, but they might not because they said that having food get into the motherboard, frying it, is not covered under our warranty. Hmmm. So it's either the connection (an easy soldering fix) or the actual board itself. What brand is this thing? Physical damage is not covered by warranty, but unless you threw a rather mushy meal into the keyboard (which would have rather dramatic immediate results)I doubt food crumbs have anything to do with it. Dodgy shop by the sound of it. Crap brand laptop too? |
