The truth is that you were trusted by your employer and you failed to honour that trust. It has very little to do with the law. It's just that Deane's pedantic and supposedly remedial judgment irritates me (and a whole lot of others). My only advice to him is that he better make sure he carries a lot of spare change the next time he goes out shopping. You made a remark about the tagger that was killed - that he had no respect for property. You also clearly implied that society was better off without him as his lack of respect for property would have led to worse things later in life. The kid is dead. The guy who did it is showing an enourmous amount of remorse and regret about the situation and is hoping that he will be able to meet with the boy's family in a restorative justice conference so that he can express his remorse to them in person. But you? You have not the slightest pity. You prattle on about his lack of respect for property, imply that it is a good thing he is dead and tell me to go to hell when I remind you of something you freely admitted to on this forum. |

I am 100% certain that those who possess intelligence will see the light of the event when I give them the factual circumstances: 1) father rambles on about his boy being a good boy who deserved something, but is 40c short of the item he wanted 2)Checkout operator has a $2 limit for short and/or over, and only works one day a week. 3) Moved, the man now shops at the store where the checkout operator works. |
