| 728276 | 2008-12-15 09:50:00 | Please tell us what great benefit giving that chewing gum did for the father and son and the store. It was theft and unnecessary. In a weak moment I chose to break the rule and ignored the 40c short in my till to give a father who is short of change the ability to give his deserving (he was rambling on about how he was a good boy and how he can pick something to buy) son the gum. How did it benefit the store? Moved by my willingness to break the rule for him and his son, he is now a regular in the store. Now he does his major grocery shopping there, instead of a competing supermarket nearby. |

That's the biggest load of crap i've heard in my life What goes around comes around, and it's proven here- A nice deed has bought the store a new customer, which could increase profits, and therefore could result in an increased pay. Bit far fetched, but still. |

Dont worry about it squire you helped someone God would have looked down on you and said good lad showing some compassion. Dont let idiots get you down they are just spoiling for a fight makes them look big to other people. Tills are up and down. Lots of time people say dont worry about the change and wont take the change back. Unless you throw the change at them its an up. You get downs and ups with incorrect change its more or less. I used to run a club bar years ago. Some weeks on stocktake you got an up which you put in an under and over box . Some weeks when the barman was pisssed he would give free beer to his mates and you had a down. So you took it out of the box. Once again you didnt do anything wrong andf you got what is called goodwill. You spent money for your company and got it back with bells on. Dont let idiots drain you of compassion for your fellow human beings hold you head up. |

Dont let idiots drain you of compassion for your fellow human beings hold you head up. And to add to that.......... K. Hen. Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more; Or close the wall up with our English dead! 4 In peace theres nothing so becomes a man As modest stillness and humility: But when the blast of war blows in our ears, Then imitate the action of the tiger; 8 Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood, Disguise fair nature with hard-favourd rage; Then lend the eye a terrible aspect; Let it pry through the portage of the head 12 Like the brass cannon; let the brow oerwhelm it As fearfully as doth a galled rock Oerhang and jutty his confounded base, Swilld with the wild and wasteful ocean. 16 Now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide, Hold hard the breath, and bend up every spirit To his full height! On, on, you noblest English! Whose blood is fet from fathers of war-proof; 20 Fathers that, like so many Alexanders, Have in these parts from morn till even fought, And sheathd their swords for lack of argument. Dishonour not your mothers; now attest 24 That those whom you calld fathers did beget you. Be copy now to men of grosser blood, And teach them how to war. And you, good yeomen, Whose limbs were made in England, show us here 28 The mettle of your pasture; let us swear That you are worth your breeding; which I doubt not; For there is none of you so mean and base That hath not noble lustre in your eyes. 32 I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips, Straining upon the start. The games afoot: Follow your spirit; and, upon this charge Cry God for Harry! England and Saint George! |

Finally some people can look over the immaterial law and see the true light of the event. It's just that Deane's pedantic and supposedly remedial judgment irritates me (and a whole lot of others). My only advice to him is that he better make sure he carries a lot of spare change the next time he goes out shopping. |

So, You would feel the same way if he was thieving your gear? Stealing off someone is not compassion, If he was so giving he would have paid for the item. hell, anyone can give away stuff they don't own, Its called being dishonest. I wouldn't trust him around anything I own. |
