Anyhow, read the papers for what troubles Wanganui, It has been going on for much longer then the newspapers have been reporting it, On many levels, within many groups. And when its part of day to day life it does become a "normal" way to live. |

Like earlier mentioned, if these kids just didn't tag, basically just behaved themselves, none of this would of happened. But it is done, the guy may or may not accidentally stabbed the kid, but it is done. He may get a light sentence in which thugs all over will retaliate, or they may just use him as bed fodder inside, either way, it's all stuff. They made their choice, now the all must pay. |

| 728253 | 2008-12-13 03:06:00 | I'm with Metla here (somewhat). Killing the tagger was overkill (no pun intended). Really, many people here are at fault. You have the tagger and the guy who killed him, but you also have the whole family of the tagger. Every parent thinks their child is an angel, but realistically, what do kids left alone get up to eventually? I don't know the background of the situation, but I'm willing to venture that the the guy who killed the tagger as had alot of trouble with tagging in the past. Rage can make seemingly sane people do crazy things, but if he had done 'the right thing' (called the cops), chances are nothing would've been done. I can see him wanting to catch the kid and give him a good hiding, but killing him? |
