727344 2008-12-10 03:28:00 Preparing to buy a Sony 32" V4000 Series TV (KDL32V4000) since it has a FreeViewHD tuner built in.
Visit the usual pricespy (www.pricespy.co.nz) and priceme (www.priceme.co.nz) sites

There are shops that sells the TV $100~200 cheaper than the usual shops such as Bond and Bonds, but I haven't bought anything from these smaller shops before.

Any recommendation or warnings? Since this item is $1000+ I'm trying to be careful.

727348 2008-12-10 17:47:00 My experiences with Expert Infotech haven't been great - they've always been quite slow processing orders, even if you pay by credit card. I also suspect them of either intentionally, or unintentionally, leaking credit card numbers to fraudsters, as I had to cancel two credit cards after using them at Expert Infotech (due to large number of charges being made to Kingfisher Airlines in India using my card) - I have told the bank this, because they were the only company I've used both of my cards at who doesn't use a 3rd party processor like DPS or Paypal.

On another note, my recent experiences with PC OnlineShop have been fantastic, even though I expected them to be one of those cheap stores which sell you something, and then don't want to hear from you. I RMAed a part, and received a replacement within two days, so am very pleased with their service.

LV Martins has just moved 2 of their 3 shops recently, I think they are feeling the pinch. They have moved into the Harvey Norman building in lowerhutt recently - if you can't beat them, join them.
