But analysts cautioned against reading too much into the widely-publicised $400 million deal, first announced in January, for a third generation mobile network built by Orascom Telecom.

Orascom Telecom Chief Executive Naguib Sawiris said the company's aim was for a "network that will accommodate the 22 million people" in North Korea."

I just hope that they come here soon to break the Telecom/Vodafone duopoly that has our mobile rates 40 per cent higher than the OECD average.

Come on Paul and Paul. Drop your basic rates from 89 cents a minute !

Two: Most people here don't need a cellphone.

729395 2008-12-16 00:39:00 There is a bit of an Egyptian connection (? ?) with one of the existing telcos. I doubt that could be classed as an unqualified success on every occasion the users are tested by it. ;) R2x1 (4628)
