2009-12-15 23:37:00 | I was helping a neighbour the other day and I tried to get to her desktop by the usual pressing Windows Logo key and then D Didn't work. My desktop and two laptops are all set up to do this but I cannot remember if it was something I put into them or is this a standard Windows feature. Anyway I want to help my neighbour - any suggestions to get the Windows logo key and D to work. She is on XP Tom

2009-12-16 00:19:00 | It should be enabled by default Sol: Win+D and Win+M both work. Thomas: The Windows key may have been disabled via gpedit or the registry, you will need to check Blam

2009-12-16 01:15:00 | Winkey + D is show desktop Winkey + M is minimize all windows Slightly different, Winkey + M won't minimize some windows which try to stay on top (Battlefield Heroes updater for example) but Winkey + D will. Does the windows key by itself work?

2009-12-16 05:58:00 | My neighbour has checked the Windows key alone and in conjunction with "E" Nothing happened in either case - just dead. So now it looks as though I may have to look in the Registry for her. OOOH Gawd the thought of it frightens me! Tom

2009-12-16 21:10:00 | I looked for the quick launch on the taskbar but as far as I remember it wasn't there. Yes I should check it. Difficult to try another keyboard as this computer is a laptop. I suppose there is a way of trying another keyboard through USB but it isn't something I have ever tried. Tom
