| 839608 | 2009-12-14 21:03:00 | Morning all I have a friend's V3000 laptop at home - when you boot it there is no display (not even POST or BIOS) - just one long beep and two short ones. I've googled the beep codes for this and while I can find beep codes for single beeps, there's no indication of what long short short means. I've reseated the RAM, tried just one stick of RAM, pulled the battery for 24 hours and retried etc etc....still same beep code error. Has anyone struck this series of beep codes on a Compaq before? I've got some spare ram here at work that I'll take home and try tonight but it would be nice to get some direction... Cheers |
