839278	2009-12-13 20:40:00	Does Windows 7 run faster than Windows XP? Would using Windows 7 improve the handling of games? Is Windows 7 more secure than Windows XP? Is Windows 7 better than Windows Vista? The reason I am asking the above questions is I'm considering upgrading from Windows XP home to something a bit more up to date.	convair (13650)
839279	2009-12-13 20:44:00	It'll probably run faster. Some sites say, its not as secure as Vista. Since UAC has changed (from whats in Vista). But its good enough. Dont know about games, havent got any. Depending on WHICH version youre going to get (if its 64 bit), make sure there are 64 bit drivers, for whatever devices you've got.	Speedy Gonzales (78)

Would using Windows 7 improve the handling of games? Not sure what you mean by this, but W7 adds any recent Games for Windows games to a Games folder so you can find them in one place . Is Windows 7 more secure than Windows XP? Yes . Though UAC can be a pain . Is Windows 7 better than Windows Vista? According to almost everyone, yes . I've not used Vista so can't comment . If you have a new(ish) PC, get the 64bit version provided there are drivers available for all your devices .	autechre (266)

From my experience, yes it should. Although depending on the graphics, you will have to disable aero and a few other appearances to avoid any lag. It does not improve the handling of games, but it has the ability to run all compatibility options for games in order to run or start without error. Very old games might have a problem with Win7, like Theme Hospital etc. UAC should also be disabled to avoid any errors.. sometimes it does when playing. Vista was far more secure than XP, and so now the former Windows 7 is also. Of course going to dodgy sites, and downloading torrents and P2P without any anti-virus.. well.. I wouldn't test it myself. :P Windows 7 is Vista, with a new shell and a fair amount of changes. I love Vista over XP any day because of the amazing features it has. Windows 7 is like super sayian 3 Goku. Better in almost every way!	Chris09 (15218)
