731104 2008-12-24 03:13:00 The Portuguese were the nice world colonists they were not above assimilating with the locals (rooting) .
They just walked out on most of their empire even before the natives got in the independence fighting mode.

Asked during the interview if Mugabe should be removed by force, Tutu said there should "certainly be the threat of it." And he added the president should be warned that he could face prosecution at the International Criminal Court for his violent suppression of opponents.

731108 2008-12-25 21:34:00 I truely hate that arguement, i really do, *** grow some balls and have an opinion, stop trying to cover your ass and just say what you want to say.

If you disagree with history then say so. I hate these lil 'I wasnt there so I cant possibly know' crap answers.

Sorry, end rant.

Well I do have an opinion but we are told by the rules and moderators that PressF1 is not democratic and therefore I am muzzled or puzzled.

731110 2008-12-27 04:24:00 Bishop Desmond Tutu has been trying to shame the South African government into doing something effective - in particular he has been aiming at that useless prat Mbeke who has been a total waste of space.

The President of Sth Africa is probably the only African politician who would have a hope of putting pressure on Mugabe, but Mbeke is the African Neville Chamberlain - of course he is also the world leader who denies that HIV/AIDS exists whilst half his countryfolk are infected and dying.

Bishop Tutu has been the only South African "prominent person" who has publicly tried to get change in Zimbabwe, but he has been totally ignored.
