730838 2008-12-25 20:43:00 Is there not a way to sync the posts between the chat and help forums with threads like this? It would make it far easier if you want to read though all the posts, if it was only one thread rather then two. stormdragon (6013)
730839 2008-12-25 20:47:00 Had a similar thought once I realised they were on both forums gary67 (56)

Purple Plan - 50GB Addon data (With 6 in the house we use it)

Even with everyone actively browsing we get good speeds. Not so great per connection (IE download from a server in the US at 60kB/s, but i can open 10 of these, and use a full 600kB/s of downstream) - thats what segmented download managers are for.

Phone service is good so is email service.

Very Happy :)

730841 2008-12-26 19:41:00 When will PC World staff realise Speedtest.net IS NOT accurate. Different ISP have different hops to international Speedtest.net servers especially , if any one of the hops can not sustain 10MB for example the result will be false in relation to the performance of the 'users' true ISP
Interesting comment. Can you please elaborate more on the accentuated part? :thanks

730842 2008-12-28 18:32:00 Was with Slingshot before they went to crap, then switched to xnet. So far after being with them for just over a year I think, only 2 hiccups, both minor and both Telecom doing line checks. Always had good speeds.
Looking at moving the phone to the xnet voip but unsure how to go about it at this stage.

730843 2008-12-28 22:13:00 Speedtest has always been accurate for me. Downloading a Linux ISO from 10 servers at once with Getright will always go at the max speed my connection can allow. I always get the exact same speed from speedtest. Agent_24 (57)
