731062 2008-12-20 08:48:00 I think not. I think he'll keep trashing the country until he dies. Loads of citizens will die of disease, fighting and hunger.

The Africans have always done this - who sold slaves to the white men in the first place? They did.
Its nothing to do with white, black or green.

People are basically nasty and power-hungry. Most of us never have the opportunity to find out what our own behaviour would be like if given the chance.

Well that is an interesting attitude.
Where do think African-Americans come from?

Would you like to be Prime Minister of NZ?

And as for your comment about people in general being "basically nasty and power hungry" I take it that would include yourself if we gave you the chance?

Waits for pctek to join a political party and get the required votes and/or be on the list.

731063 2008-12-20 11:04:00 Sweep, have you looked out the window at all in the last few years?

People are basically bad, when formed into groups. Well, over the last 6 or 7 thousand years we have been, I don't remember too many bits before that.

Actually it used to be the bread bowl of Africa until that mad sod took over.

Judge not unless you be judged.

PressF1 members are a group.

Suppose I just put you in with the basically bad.

731066 2008-12-20 19:23:00 What a chaotic mess in Zimbabwe! The new 10 BILLION dollar note (edition.cnn.com) will now only buy 20 loaves of bread (but probably not tomorrow when it may only buy half that amount).

Will another country invade and take over?

Will president Robert Mugabe be assassinated?

Will the UN and African Union be powerless to save the people there?

Where do you think Zimbabwe will be, in a year from now? 5 years?

Just wondering, folks. PF1ers seem to be an astute lot...

Mugarbe will go and the stupid bleading hearts in the west will say that it's our duty to bail them out. Like hell..

How did they get to AMerica? Other Africans tribes, when they captured fellow countrymen, sold them to the white traders.
They had been selling each other to the arabs yor hundreds of years before that.

You thought only certain groups of people were nasty to other groups of people? The entire of history consists of that, plus people being nasty to their own group a lot of the time.

There are rotten apples in any group.
I do not think you can paint every person in a group based on the actions of a few or even many of a group.

It may be that your version of history may be different to what I understand. As I was not there at the time I am hardly in a position to know what happend.

For example I could point out that Wanganui could also be Whanganui depending on your point of view and also whom translated original documents who may have had nefarious intent of their own. When I lived in Metlaville I always said to others that I live in Wanganui.

At school I was taught that Mount Cook was also called Aorangi "The Cloud Piercer"

As I noticed a few days ago on TV I saw Mount Cook delineated as Aoraki but you could check out Wikipedia and find as I did that Aorangi was a person. But do I believe all that is on Wikipedia?

NO!
