| 729769 | 2008-12-16 23:47:00 | Christchurch: depends on what activities you enjoy and what your interests are . Go up the Gondola and enjoy the views . Drive around the Summit Road, starting from Sumner (a lovely place to visit in its own right) and going down the hill into Cashmere . Only good on a nice day though . Antarctic Centre - see the penguins, learn all about Antarctica . Visit Akaroa on Banks Peninsula, a lovely drive and destination . Visit Orana Park to see the animals or Willowbank to see kiwis and other birds/animals . If you will be here on a weekend, visit the market at the Arts Centre . Visit the art gallery . Lots more ideas here ( . christchurch . org . nz/) and here (http://www . christchurchnz . com/canterbury/whattodo/" target="_blank">www . christchurch . org . nz/) and here (http:) . |

| 729771 | 2008-12-17 00:30:00 | Napier: Will you have a car? If so, drive to the top of Te Mata Peak, HastingsBugga that... do the 1 hour walk from the car park up to the peak. It's shear stimulation. | Greg (193) | ||
| 729772 | 2008-12-17 01:49:00 | Damn FoxyMX you took all my ideas. You could head to Quail Island in Lyttelton for an afternoon walking. I've camped out there, really great. Far enough away to be quite, but not too far to be a bother to get to (boat ride takes about 10 mins). |
