| 730730 | 2008-12-18 20:51:00 | Hi Team I want to order a T-shirt from the US for my son but I don't know what the US/NZ size equivalence is. He is 180cm tall, fit, and of average build, neither skinny nor carrying any surplus weight. His current T-Shirts are either L or XL, depending on the variations between different sources, but I have a horrible feeling that the US interpretation of Extra Large might be a small circus tent. I did a google search but could only find womens' equivalents for NZ/Asian sizes. Can anybody help me out please? Cheers Billy 8-{) |

I have rather long-ish arms and about a 49" chest that is 125 cm. I wear a M (medium), but if I want a lot of room I go to L (large). XL is 'way too big. If you need shoe sizes, let me know. |

| 730735 | 2008-12-19 00:55:00 | Found a link to a US collar size chart, and XL is 17"-17.5" which matches his current NZ XL stuff so I'll go with that. It may be a tent from the neck down and if so, he'll just have to build or borrow a beer gut to fill it. :D Thanks for the input. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

It may be a tent from the neck down and if so, he'll just have to build or borrow a beer gut to fill it . :D) Are you sure that you're not measuring around his ears too? 17½ is a very large neck - something NOT pencil-necked in the least! Mine is rather thick (no comments!) for someone under 6 feet tall and I wear only a 16 on a good day or a 15½ when I'm hungry . :waughh: |
