| 729488 | 2008-12-15 21:50:00 | Holy Crap I just went into Countdown in Napier (the new one, we have two countdowns that are a 2 min walk from each other) One loaf of Quality Bakers (we're stuck on the brand) was $4.20 15 pack of Tui was $25 A packet of Chocolate Fingers was $4.30 at the start of this year this would have been just over $25... Shocking.:yuck: Oh well, at least PC World is only $8.90:cool: |

| 729497 | 2008-12-15 22:58:00 | I don't think food (by that I mean no seasonal things such as fruit and vege) has gone up that much in the last year or so. (Cheese and Cereals have) In fact I think the trend has been for steady prices over the last few years. What worries me is how they have managed to do that ? How many of our grocery products have Chinese ingredients in them ? which would enable them to keep prices down. Asian toothpaste anyone ? |
