The D200 is an older model which I thought got replaced by the D300 Also Canon 50D or 450D would suffice. Keep in mind the DSLR's are heavy cameras with the body and lens, she would need to keen on photography to warrant a heavy camera. My wife complains about the weight of her Kodak Z740. And she will not carry my Canon 30D with all it's lenses. |

You need to be really keen to carry an SLR. Compacts give really good results for most people | Ofthesea (14129) | ||

Compacts give really good results for most people I agree. My wife's been using a Canon S3IS for two years and has been so frustrated with it,so her Christmas present this year is the Panasonic TZ15 with no viewfinder,a large back lcd screen and 10x zoom. And it'll fit in her handbag. But I still prefer the viewfinder method. |
