If someone has died then something has gone seriously wrong, they want a ruling which not only fines the company but forces whatever industry is concerned to take notice and ensure it doesn't happen again. Like it or not,its a very effective system for causing change to whatever industry happens to be killing people. |

Ah, then you should have written up a traffic management plan, and submitted it to the local council for approval. Then you would need to get it set up and monitored by a qualified STMS. This would cover you.:D |

| 732839 | 2008-12-30 09:36:00 | It's a sad state of affairs when bits of paper (H&S policies) trump common sense (which I have to admit, isn't too common, mainly because people aren't 'allowed' to take risks any more)... :groan: | johcar (6283) | ||

Your welcome to spend a few days with me doing some high risk work so you can witness some stunts people (even experienced people who should know better, Though that's half the problem, they think they know better) pull when left to their own devices. The change in work practises and attitude that have taken place in the building industry over the last decade is a positive change, No doubt about it. You would be a mug to claim otherwise, an ignorant mug. |
