841255 2009-12-20 07:21:00 Oops try eventvwr

Forgot the v. You dont need an acct. Just install it run it, tell the other person what the ID and password is that shows in teamviewer. Then the other person logs in. Then you watch while the other person checks out whatever. And chat if you want. If you want me to check now do the above, then send the ID and password to me in a PM. And I'll check it out

841258 2009-12-20 08:40:00 Thanks everyone, and thanks speedy. That TeamViewer thing is great  Mister (15201)
841259 2009-12-20 08:43:00 Ok, umm well unticking automatically restart wouldnt have helped. As the PC doesnt crash, programs do. Looks like Nortons somehow installed on the system so got the removal tool to remove it. Then told Mister to reboot. And we'll see what happens. There were 2 entries under non plug and play that were either stuffed or didnt exist. One was adfs.sys, which maybe an adobe file, and the other srtspx.sys, which belongs to Symantec Endpoint. So I deleted them. Hopefully this will fix the crashing. Mister, look for adfs.sys (you have to to show hidden files), then right mouse / properties. Does it say adobe under any of the tabs? Sweet Mister. Lets me know how things go (or if programs keep crashing). Edit: that adfs.sys file may belong to Comodo. Something for it may have not loaded properly. That could be why things are crashing. Uninstall it Speedy Gonzales (78)
841260 2009-12-21 05:08:00 Dang, it just crashed again. In CoD6 as well. I looked through Eventvwr. Under application around the same time "The adfs service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the file specified"

And wasn't "Adfs" the thing you deleted last night speedy?
Mister (15201)
841261 2009-12-21 05:14:00 I deleted the file or the driver under device manager . It may not have removed the service in services. I'll check it out again if u want, thats if the bloody thing doesnt keep rejecting your pw lol Speedy Gonzales (78)
841262 2009-12-21 05:35:00 I deleted the file or the driver under device manager . It may not have removed the service in services. I'll check it out again if u want, thats if the bloody thing doesnt keep rejecting your pw lol

lol, I uninstalled Adobe Photoshop, according to a google search that's what ADFS error is from, and other people had reported crashing with that error, in different programs though.

841263 2009-12-21 05:37:00 Go to start/run type services.msc. Does adfs service appear here? Even tho you uninstall something, it doesnt mean it'll remove everything Speedy Gonzales (78)
841264 2009-12-21 05:57:00 Nope. It doesn't appear to be there Mister (15201)
