732904 2008-12-28 05:59:00 I see some DSE stores are selling the M$ Mobile Memory Laser wireless mouse for $23.98! (XH9564)
The retail price is $159!!

Here's the kicker:
you can get a $40 cash back from M$ so you make money by buying the mouse!
The cash back from MS is based on the retail price and not the price you actually pay for it.

732905 2008-12-28 09:01:00 Bought a Xbox 360 Elite (not for me, already got one) bundle for $499, $100 cheaper than HN and $80 cheaper than Noel Lemmings!

Bargain. Cheapest in NZ apparently. all sold out now tho lol

732906 2008-12-28 22:16:00 Dicksmith got GTA 4 for only $69. Gonna grab a copy for myself. At this price it's basically $20 bux cheaper than elsewhere after sales...xD EviLClouD (12981)
732907 2008-12-28 22:26:00 DSE has some stunning deals on at the moment.

Went to powerstore for a browse, chap pointed me to the 42" Tosh as $1799, said it was a great deal and I ought to buy it.

When I told him DSE have the same thing for $1199 he was rather taken aback.

Yip, when I went over and told HN that DSE had the 360 for $499 they said they wouldn't even match it.

I though they had a price match guarantee. Anyway I wouldn't get an xbox, due to the ring of death problems, which is probably one reason the price has dropped so much.

Well he simply shut us down and said nope we're not gonna do it. Didn't argue and simply went across the road to DSE.

And the newer 360s have fewer problems. My 360 (made in 2005) just got the RROD (on xmas day :() but man did it last well. Still under the 3 year warranty tho.

Also, just one thing with DSE, they tried to sell us their 3 yr warranty and I told the guy MS extended it from 1 yr to 3 and all the guys there were like "first of heard of that". Be careful, they'll say anything to get you to buy their extended warranty ($60)

I had heard that too, although Leo Lapote, a well known tech person, has said that he has had a few knew ones, and they also experienced the red circle problem, and even the replacements had the same problem. I guess if you can get 3 years out of it, it is ok for that price. Microsoft must have made such a huge loss from the xbox.

DSE have the 32" V-Series Bravia for $1359 - I actually ended up getting it from Noel Leeming (for a bit more) to get the double Fly-Buys.

Mmmmm 1080p FTW!! :D :drool
